Office Bake Sale 29 August 2014

What an interesting day at the office it was this chilly Friday....

My friends and colleagues arrived, each bringing different baked goods. My first thoughts were that we are having a big party today, but then I was told that there was a bake sale today.. OK, I bought some scones and pancakes as well since I did not pack any food today.

Needless to say, the whole building was shopping on our floor and every item was sold out before lunch. I did not even have a change to buy some of the chocolate cake! Later on I was summonsed to receive an envelope of cash and was informed that the bake sale was organised as a fundraiser for Stefan... R5,400 was raised through the sale.

It was difficult not to be emotional, even now typing on the webpage... these people, our friends did this for us. It was something very special, I am humbled by the initiative and the manner in which everybody got involved.

We are lucky to have special people in our lives that care for us, and please note that we feel the same way. Thank you to everybody that made it possible. I still do not know who was responsible, but I could see that this was team effort from some amazing people.
